Avenue Q

Live shows form the basis of any social calendar, whether they are concerts featuring our favourite bands, performances by well known comedians or West End musicals that continue to bring in huge crowds. Concert tickets are available for all of these, allowing audiences to witness talented individuals take to the stage and showcase what they have to offer. In the West End, these take the form of actors and hard working crews, who are striving to create a monumental piece that will stand the test of time, hoping that ticket numbers will continue to rise.

One such production is the ever popular musical Avenue Q, which turns all of the expectations we hold regarding puppet shows on their head. It tells the story of Princeton, who is an optimistic college graduate, arriving in Avenue Q ready to follow his dreams. Instead he befriends a colourful bunch of characters, who help him to fall deeper into a dark and depraved world. A mixture of live actors and puppets make up the cast of characters that include Lucy The Slut, Kate Monster as well as a former child star, a porn loving monster, a closet homosexual and a busty blonde.
