We Will Rock You

The jukebox musical that pays tribute to the English rock band Queen is currently playing at the Dominion Theatre on London’s West End. We Will Rock You plays tribute to the music of the band and includes much of their most famous work. The musical includes ‘I Want to Break Free’, ‘Under Pressure’, ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’, ‘These are the Days of Our Lives’, ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’, ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ and ‘Another One Bites the Dust’.

The musical opened at the Dominion Theatre on May 2002 and while the critics did not view the musical favourably, We Will Rock You proved a massive hit with the audiences and is set to continue on stage for some time to come. The musical was written by the best selling British author Ben Elton whose previous work includes Inconceivable which later became the hit film Maybe Baby and worked on the television shows The Young Ones and Blackadder.

Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor worked alongside Ben Elton on the production of the tribute musical. The musical has enjoyed international success in countries from Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Australia and South Africa. The performance on the West End continues its success at the Dominion Theatre.
